FAQ

  • How do I become a VASU member?
    VASU Membership Form Link: https://forms.gle/GsYCSUyy4Z872m3w9 Membership fee is $5 (cash or e-Transfer to vasu.uofs@gmail.com)
  • What % does the artist get?
    70% of proceeds (or 80% if you have done volunteer work for VASU)
  • When should artwork be delivered?
    Artists must drop off artwork at the VASU Office before or on November 15th. Other drop off dates may be provided.
  • What are the delivery options?
    Pick Up - Buyer will pick up artwork at the VASU Office
  • Where is the VASU Office?
    The VASU Office is located in Murray Building Room 61 at the University of Saskatchewan. It is in a hallway facing the Murray Library entrance, first room to the right.
  • How will I receive my artist share?
    Artist will receive their 70% (or 80%) artist share by cheque and must pick it up at the VASU Office.
  • Who can submit art?
    Artist must be a current student at the University of Saskatchewan AND a member of VASU.
  • How do I submit art?
    Link to Submission Form: https://tr.ee/H940WIt1-s Submissions close on November 15th.
  • How do I bid?
    In-person (November 20-24): Bid by writing on the paper sheets beside each artwork at the Gordon Snelgrove Gallery. Open gallery hours are 10 am - 4 pm. You can also bid during the reception on November 24 between 6 - 8:30 pm. Online portion (Not applicable this year): Bid through the linked Google form. Each artist has one bidding sheet and there will be a dropdown menu to select which piece from the artist you would like to bid on. Enter your bid and email. You must increase the current bid by at least $5.00.
  • What time are bids updated?
    Online portion (Not applicable this year): Bids are updated every morning at around 10 am - 11 am or earlier.
  • How do I know if I'm the highest bidder?
    The highest bidder's first name will be announced at the reception and on social media (winners video). Buyers in attendance can pay and pick up the artwork right after the reception. Otherwise, VASU will contact the buyer and arrange payment and pickup the next day.
  • What are the delivery options?

  • How do I pay for artwork?
    Preferred method of payment is e-Tranfer to vasu.uofs@gmail.com. Cash is also acceptable.
  • When is artwork delivered?
    Not applicable this year.
  • When and where do I pick up artwork?
    If in attendance after winners announcement, the buyer can purchase and pick up the artwork after the reception. Otherwise, the buyer will be notified once artwork is ready for pick up and must pick up artwork at the VASU Office. A time and date will be arranged.
